Perched on the mountain plateau above the famous Oludeniz Blue Lagoon, the neighboring resorts of Hisaronu and Ovacik offer a cooler breeze and a different vibe than the beach level. While they are often mentioned in the same breath, they serve very different holiday styles.

​Hisaronu: The Vibrant Heart

​If you want to be in the center of the action, Hisaronu is your spot. Once a small farming village, it has transformed into a bustling tourist hub known for its energy.
​Vibe: Lively, bright, and unashamedly tourist-focused.
​Nightlife: The main street is closed to traffic every evening, turning into a neon-lit pedestrian mall. Popular spots like Grand Boozey, Zombie Bar, and Revolution offer everything from cocktails to dancing until the early hours.
​Dining: A massive variety of international cuisines. You’ll find everything from traditional Turkish kebabs to high-quality Indian, Chinese, and British-style “Sunday Roasts.”
​Shopping: Hundreds of shops selling “genuine fake” designer goods, leather, and souvenirs. It also hosts a large Monday Market.

​Ovacık: The Relaxed Retreat
​Ovacık is essentially the residential and hotel-heavy extension of Hisaronu. It stretches across the valley at the foot of Babadag Mountain.
​Vibe: Peaceful, spacious, and family-oriented.
​Accommodation: Famous for its luxury villas with private pools and large all-inclusive resorts (like the Liberty Lykia or Orka Sunlife).
​Scenery: It offers stunning views of the mountains and the sea in the distance. It’s also the starting point for the Lycian Way hiking trail.
​The Breeze: Because it’s higher up, Ovacık stays significantly cooler than the beach, which is a lifesaver in the peak of July and August.
